Welcome to Bigfoot Flutes. With over 20 years of experience in building stringed instruments, I have expanded my expertise to crafting flutes inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Native American peoples.
Each flute is handcrafted with care and precision, following traditional Native American design principles. The materials used are carefully selected, including a variety of woods such as Eastern Red Cedar, Walnut, Western Cedar, Hemlock, and more. Each wood type brings its unique characteristics, creating a distinct sound and aesthetic appeal.
I do not make what I consider to be “fancy” flutes. While my flutes are, in my opinion, beautiful, my path is to keep them simple and straightforward, without intricate inlays or shiny thick polymer finishes. My preference is to let the wood speak for itself, Mother Nature has already endowed it with all of the beauty it needs. While I do use some power tools, finger holes are burned into tune with a burning tool, flutes are hand-sanded, and I don’t use any CNC machining on my instruments. I build these by hand, and each flute, start to finish, is built by me and only me. I won’t list a flute for sale unless I honestly feel like I want to keep it for myself.

Ordering Information
Right now I am a cottage shop, and I am more interested in building great flutes than I am in figuring out all of the electronic means of taking payments. Therefore, Please contact me personally if you would like to purchase one of our flutes. I will only list flutes for sale that are finished, and unless we are out of town, I can usually ship right away. In the future I will add online ordering.
The best way to contact me is using the contact form found HERE. This sends a message directly to me that I can pick up on my phone, and I will respond as soon as I can. I hate forms too, but it keeps the spoofing and other hacks at bay.
